Two problems related to accelerator pedal have been reported for the 1997 Mazda 626. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Unexpected acceleration surge causing car to jump curb, low wall, and through a fence, landing nose down on swimming pool deck.
Throttle pedal sticks and vehicle will accelerate forward after pedal is depressed several times. Dealer has been notified.
