Brake Electric Antilock problems of the 1999 Mazda 626

Three problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1999 Mazda 626. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 01/03/2000

In rainy condition and driving 40 mph, abs braking system malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to skid about 10-15 feet and have a frontal impact with another vehicle. Upon impact, driver's and passenger's airbags did not deploy, which did not protect the occupants in this crash. Please provide further information.

2 Brake Electric Antilock problem

When driving 10 mph and upon depressing the brake pedal, pedal became very hard and would not move, causing it to continue moving forward, resulting in an accident. Also, in a separate incident when backing into a parking space and when applying the brake pedal, pedal was very hard. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer was unable to determine the cause of the problem. Please provide any further details.

3 Brake Electric Antilock problem

While traveling a normal speed and upon dpressing the brake pedal, pedal would not travel to floorboard, causcted. Please provide further infoarmation.
