Engine Cooling System problems of the 1999 Mazda 626

Three problems related to engine cooling system have been reported for the 1999 Mazda 626. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2009

The Mazda 626 transmission is not known for its reliability. It fact, there have been numerous complaints about problems encountered with the Mazda 626 transmission. A common problem on the vehicle is the failure of the automatic transmission. When this fails, this may cause the overdrive light to flash. Other problems include slipping and vibration. Not understanding why there are no recalls on this product being that this has been going on for years why is Mazda not liable for this issue. . . . . . .

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 09/29/2003

Consumer called complaining about the coolant bottle on the vehicle. It has been replaced twice, and currently it needs to be fixed again. The part was on back order. Manufacturer was contacted, and stated that they will replace it, but it will take over a week to replace it. Dealer was contacted, and stated that they could not t do any repairs until the part becomes available. The problem has recurred for the fifth time along with the dealer replacing the coolant overflow bottle, with last incident, July 12, 2004.

3 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 07/04/1999

Tires worn smooth on inside after 13000 miles( dot number: y7cd tire size: p205/60r15 ).
