Two problems related to manual transmission have been reported for the 1999 Mazda 626. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My car failed the last week of January 2005. It would stop going into gear. I had the spark plugs replaced, transmission fluid changed, but still no change. Finally it got so bad I stopped driving. I have yet found anyone who really wants to fix the car because they all say it is a piece of junk and not worth fixing.
Transmission went out in my 1999 Mazda 626 after 91,000 miles.
