Two problems related to tire tread/belt have been reported for the 1999 Mazda 626. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I have a 1999 Mazda 626 with pirelli tires p8000 drago p205/50r15. The dot is ch un c149 4100. The incident occurred approximated 5:15 when I was driving down a major highway and the tread of the tire was completely ripped off causing extensive damage to my car. The tire is still full of air and I had contacted the seller of the tire where I was notified that it was a manufacturing defect and I am currently in the process of filing a claim with pirelli tires. The tire is less 2 years old and I have receipts showing the purchase date.
Both front tires' tread prematurely wore out with only 16,000 miles. Model sf408, size p18570r14, original equipment.
