While driving at 65 mph vehicle bogged down on the consumer. Then, consumer lost control of the vehicle, and was struck on the driver's side by a 18 wheeler. Consumer sustained major injuries to the lumbar region of the torso. While driving in the right lane the consumer heard a loud thump. After the noise was heard the rear end and steering wheel locked up. As a result the vehicle traveled to the left across the lanes and in the front of an 18 wheeler.

4 Suspension problem of the 1996 Mazda 626

6 Suspension problem of the 2000 Mazda 626

Failure Date: 11/01/2001

Passengers side rear axle needed to be repaired because it was cracked. Vehicle would shake when driven at 60 mph or faster. Dealer had been contacted for this problem, and informed consumer that drivers side axle needed to be changed. Dealer has replaced drivers side, but consumer was having same problem. Dealer had informed consumer that passengers side axle needed to be replaced. Consumer also stated she was having problems with the transmission stalling, vehicle back firing, trembling/shaking and also steering from left to right, consumer was informed that the problem was the tires that there was not enough tire pressure, however the problem still persisted until she was finally told that the axle needed to be replaced.

7 Suspension problem of the 2000 Mazda 626

Failure Date: 09/17/2001

Vehicle got rearended. When consumer's vehicle was towed in it was found out that front and back ends of vehicle were made of plastic. Consumer wanted to know why front and back ends of vehicle were made of plastic instead of reenforced metal. Consumer called Mazda, and Mazda stated it was reenforced plastic.

Problems with stabilizer bushings and power steering. At approximately 27000 miles the stabilizer bushings were replaced. Again at 43000 they needed to be replaced again by then the vehicle was out of warranty. The power steering was very squeaky when making turns.
