He stated that Mazda is manufactured on the same assembly line and has the same identical parts as the Ford ranger that was recalled. Mazda stated that they have no plans to recall the vehicle or to notify NHTSA. The recall stated that a fire could occur. The recall number was unknown. There had been no failure to date.
