The contact owns a 2001 Mazda B2500. The contact stated that on five different occasions while at a stop light, the vehicle would suddenly accelerate when he depressed the brake pedal; he described the failure stating that it felt as if he touched the accelerator pedal. He also stated that the check engine light was currently illuminated. He had not taken the vehicle to the dealership or called the manufacturer to-date. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The current mileage was 166,197. The failure mileage was approximately 165,500.
