Three problems related to tire tread/belt have been reported for the 1998 Mazda B3000. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the truck started to make a strange noise coming from the front. I pulled over got out of the vehicle and check the front. What I found was that half the top surface of the tire was gone showing bare metal. The tire still had air in it. This same tire was in excellent condition that same day. ( dot number: tire size: p23575r15 ).
Had found out that tires are separating between the tread and the sidewall. Firestone wilderness tires.
Wilderness at ,original equipment on 1998 Mazda B3000 ,tire size p23575r15, and dot w2hl. On both front tires there are cracks developing where the tread meets the sidewall at only 27,000 miles of usage. Firestone wilderness at p235/75/r15.
