Tire Tread/belt Problems of Mazda B3000

Driver felt vibration wile driving in fast lane, driver then lost control and collided into another vehicle. The consumer lost control of the truck due to tire tread separation. The tire brand was firestone. The driver of the other vehicle was injured.

Had not experienced any problem with firestone wilderness at tires, size 245/75r16, where consumer believed that there should have been a recall. Firestone is not responsive to email and telephone inquiries. The custmer feels that firestone at east give pro-rata credit for buying another model.

While driving the truck started to make a strange noise coming from the front. I pulled over got out of the vehicle and check the front. What I found was that half the top surface of the tire was gone showing bare metal. The tire still had air in it. This same tire was in excellent condition that same day.
