One problem related to automatic transmission column shift has been reported for the 2000 Mazda B4000. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving down a hill transfer case did not engage. Consumer tried to engage at bottom of hill. Gears did engage at the bottom of the hill. The lack of 4''-low engagement caused the vehicle to speed dangerously.
