The contact owns a 2001 Mazda B4000. The contact purchased the used vehicle in 2003. The passenger side seat belt latches properly and then releases on its own. Nhtsa campaign id number 01v227002 (seat belts:front:buckle assembly) was referenced. The seat belt was inspected and it was discovered that it worked properly in 2001. The dealer would not honor the recall because the repair work had previously been performed. The current mileage was 51,400 and failure mileage was 51,000.
