I purchased a car from best buy motors in spanaway, wa on 11/24/24. Three days later I took the car in for an oil change and my mechanic cited safety issues and identified the rear brakes were faulty and deemed them a safety hazard. I repaired the brakes because I did not want to continue driving them under those conditions. My mechanic stated that the dealership was wrong for selling the car with the brake pads so thin and worn. My bill for the brakes and oil change was $778. 28. I called the dealership and asked them to pay for the "parts" $388. 08. They talked to the mechanic and came back with parts for $119. They could have fixed the brakes for that amount before they sold it to me. My issue is that they had the car on the lot for over 6 weeks and allowed people to test drive the car with faulty rear brakes. That is hazardous to me and to people who are on the road. I still have the rotors and pads that were taken off the car. I showed the old parts to another mechanic and he agreed that it was indeed a safety hazard to be driving with them in that condition. I only asked them to pay for the parts, not the labor and they refused.

Brake booster going out on my 2010 cx-9 at 97,000 miles Mazda is playing games saying if I bring to dealer and pay $120 diagnostic fee, they "may assist" if confirmed. Supervisor would not quote work but offered range of $800-$1300 for repair, would not provide how much Mazda would cover. Local shop charges $450. Mazda ripoff!.

Nhtsa recall number 16v-593. My car makes a rattle when I step on the brakes. When it is wet outside my brakes make a different noise until they dry out. Mazda said it wasn't a problem. Another business I go to said it's probably the rocker arms that need replacement.
There is excessive rust on this Mazda. We drive in nyc, and I believe due to the close proximity to the ocean this Mazda was not properly prepared.

I have a 2007 Mazda Cx-7, my vehicle has 71,000 miles I have noticed a riddling noise for the past few months. I visit three mechanics and all three mechanics are telling me it's the vvt timing chain. The cost the repair my vehicle is $3,000 to $4,000 dollars. I contact the Mazda dealer and because I have no warranty I have to pay out of pocket. So I begin to do my research online. I realized that there are hundreds of other Mazda Cx-7 owners that are having the same issues as I. What a coincidence Mazda has discontinued manufacturing the Mazda Cx-7. This is a manufacture issue and Mazda needs to own up for it. Hundreds of people are losing their vehicles due to this vvt timing chain issue and Mazda needs to make this a re-call. I know one thing I hope and pray nothing happens to me while driving my vehicle because I will not hesitate to file a lawsuit against the Mazda corp. I hope someone can help all of us who are current owners of Mazda Cx-7. I will continue to spread the word of this horrific issue with this vehicle model.

Driving approximately 55 - 60 mph on an extremely cold (-20) morning. Tried to brake and brake is very hard and does not stop. After pumping the brake several times, it graps and brakes properly. This is the fourth time this has happened in an approximate 30 day period (all during extreme cold). Took car to dealer and they find nothing wrong with the brake system. I have subsequently found the articles about the NHTSA opening an investigation into braking problems on thw mazca cx-9 that sound identical to the problem I have been experiencing.

I was starting the car in the morning on my driveway. I switched the car on r and I start to back up. When I pressed the brake pedal , I realized I have no brake power. It was impossible to stop the car. I had to used the parking brake to stop it. I've tried for 5 minutes to see if brakes are working with no result. They were dead!! when the card was started , there was no malfunction indicator on the dash. 2 months before this, I went to the dealership reporting that braking perfomance decreased a lot. They investigated the car and found "no defect" and told me the car is working as it should. . . Yeas sure!! my luck was that I was not driving the car on the roads. Imagine loosing brake ar 60 mph.
When I applied the brakes the brake pedal wouldn't depress, and I couldn't stop the car quickly. Fortunately I tried pumping the brakes which worked. The car goes into the Mazda dealership tomorrow for repairs. The vehicle is a Mazda Cx-7, 2007 model, with approximately 25,000 miles on it.
I have a 2007 cx7 Mazda and approximately 3 weeks ago, while @ a stop sign the engine revved up. Three days later @ a red light, the engine again revved up while my foot was on the brakes. This time the car moved forward towards the car in front of me. I placed the car in park and the car came back to normal. Then on April 21st, while reversing the car into a parking space in front of the local library, the car again revved up and was reversing. My foot was again on the brakes. After the second occurrence, the car was taken to the dealership and nothing could be found. A vehicle data recorder was installed. The car was returned to the dealership after the third occurrence. A new accelerator pedal is being installed although the exact cause of the problem is still unknown.
I was driving on a snow-packed interstate highway when the car ahead of me stopped. I applied the brakes immediately. My speed was about 25 mph. The anti-lock braking system immediately responded, but my speed did not diminish appropriately. I struck the car ahead. About 20 minutes later, I tried to stop at a red light and the vehicle seemed to continue with little or no brake force actually being applied. The anti-lock system seemed overly sensitive.
The contact owns a 2007 Mazda Cx-7. While driving at an unknown speed, the power steering, brakes, and the entire electrical system failed. The contact could not stop the vehicle. Approximately three minutes later, the power steering and brakes returned. The dealer stated that they had never before experienced this type of failure. The vehicle is currently at the dealer for repair. The failure and current mileages were 35,000.
