Seats problem #1

My wife and daughter and I were driving out of the driveway. The driver's seat came completely detached from the frame and I ended up rotated and laying backwards in the driver seat. This is extremely dangerous and could cause serious injury or death. This was a recall for 2010 and 2011 models but this was manufactured in 12/11 so it didn't fall into the recall. This is exactly the issue that was described in the recall.

Seats problem #2

I have taken my car to two separate Mazda dealerships in 2019 and two separate non-dealership mechanics to address the same issue with a vibrating coming from the front driver when driving at lower speeds. It was not a constant noise until recently and saw there was a recall for my vehicle in may 2016. Mazda however says that my VIN does not qualify even though the build date range does show its covered. The problem at first was noted by the kent Mazda dealership in 2019 but said the vehicle's small framing could cause this. This vibrating has become more clear and causing my vehicle to shake violently when steering. It has made me very fearful as each mechanic I take it to cannot find the source of the issue and overlook it. Mazda corporate has not been helpful and overlooks the safety as it is something I've brought up to them. The original recall is below: https://static. Nhtsa. Gov/odi/rcl/2016/rcrit-16v203-2717. Seats problem #3

The driver seat shifts from the base, on occasion it has slid forward. The car was in motion when this took place but I was able to push back and it went back into place. There could be bolts that have been loosened.

Seats problem #4

Tl the contact owns a 2011 Mazda 2. While making a u-turn, the front driver's seat disconnected and caused the driver to fall towards the front passenger seat. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 53,916.

Seats problem #5

Driver's seat came unattached from the floor mounted slides/brackets that allow for leg length adjustments. Car was in motion, travelling approximately 35 mph, and in the center of three lanes of traffic at the time. I pulled over and examined the seat. Washers were under the seat, and the seat would move up and down 8-10 inches on the left (door-side) side. Seat was still attached to brackets/slides on the right (center-line / gear-lever) side.

Seats problem #6

A recall was issued on the 2011 Mazda 2 models related to a problem with the seat height adjuster mechanism becoming loose. Based on the description of the issue, my 2013 Mazda 2 is exhibiting the same issue. The seat 'rocks' back and forth, as if it's only partly secured. I contacted Mazda and they reiterated that the 2013 model is not currently covered under their recall, however the problem is clearly present on mine. It is Mazda's responsibility to ensure that all seat mechanisms are functioning safely and securely. The issue was noticed earlier this year and has subsequently gotten worse.

Seats problem #7

Back in April I was sent a notification that there was a recall on the seat height adjustment and the parts will be available in June. I didn't get a letter until the first weekend of October and scheduled an appointment as soon as I could which was a week later on October 9th. When I got there I was told the wait will be at least 1 1/2 hrs maybe more. I wish I was told that not 1 hr maybe more as stated in the letter. After an 1 hr of waiting was told they couldn't do it because they did not get all the parts in yet and that it should be in the next day. Really? I had set up an appointment a week ago and they couldn't tell me this before wasting my time. Now I can't go back because of my schedule and need my car. I don't have the time for someone else to drive me around. I have had problems with this specific location and no longer go there far services but did for this because it is the only Mazda dealership I can get to. Jeff haas Mazda 11222 katy freeway houston, TX 77043 I don't know what to do now because I don't want to go back there.
