I have a crack like a y long passenger-side dashboard andmy airbag sensor lights has been going on and off on different times.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2012

The sensor for passenger air bag off starting staying on, nothing was in the passenger seat. Now the sensor thinks someone is in the seat ( when no one is in seat) and keeps flashing the buckle seat belt warning.

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2010

The contact owns a 2010 Mazda 3. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated upon starting the vehicle although a passenger was seated in the front passenger seat. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the front passenger seat weight sensor was repaired. The failure continued and the vehicle was taken back to the dealership where the contact was told that the vehicle was functioning as designed. The vehicle had not been repaired again.
