Seats problem #1

Nothing has happened yet but ive done a bunch of research and a lot of the 3rd generation Mazda 3's all have the same airbag code 16 flashing on their dash and it's not on any recall list.

Seats problem #2

Problem with my 2016 Mazda 3 4-door. The front passenger seat cushion trim is coming off the seat frame at the front end. This is the same issue reported in technical bulletin 09-025/19 except that bulletin refers to models build in mexico, mine was built in japan. Tulley Mazda wants to charge me $500 to replace the defective part.

Seats problem #3

All seats separate from the base of the seat, meaning there is nothing holding the cushion that you sit on to the wire frame attached to the floor. The dealership informed me that the warranty solution after 7 attempts of fixing was to put zip ties through the nylon seat material and connect it to the base. This is not a solution to the problem since the thin nylon will just rip under pressure.

Seats problem #4

The contact owns a 2016 Mazda 3. While stopped, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. The front driver's seat fractured and collapsed. The contact sustained whiplash and injuries to the neck and lower back. The driver of the other vehicle was taken away by ambulance. Medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 6,000.
