general problems of the 2016 Mazda MAZDA3

After speaking with Mazda customer support, the sales department at germain Mazda of columbus, and the service department of Mazda columbus, I have come to learn that in response to recall 1217f | xxx17v-393, the dealership that performed the recall only performed an inspection with no repair or replacement made to the vehicle. The recall notice does not indicate that this is an option. Please see excerpt below: "your Mazda dealer will check the parking brake actuator shafts inside the left and right rear brake calipers. If the actuator shaft is found to be rusted, the brake caliper assembly will be replaced with a modified one. If no rust is found on the actuator shaft, the protective boot will be replaced with a modified one. The inspection and repair will be performed at no cost to you. " (from [xxx]) from my conversations with the three departments, no work was done for this recall on my vehicle beyond an inspection finding that the recalled component is still working. Additionally, I was not informed of this recall or that no repairs or replacement were made in response to the recall despite it being closed as completed when I purchased the vehicle. Coming out of this previous winter, my parking brake quickly began to fail and became useless by spring of this year. I am on the phone with Mazda customer service again now who once again confirmed only an inspection was performed despite the language in the recall notice. Parking brake does not fully disengage. This causes the rear brakes to wear prematurely and also has the potential to generate excessive heat.

Power break booster failure. Making it difficult to stop.

Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Mazda 3i. The contact stated that while stationary, the emergency brake disengaged and the vehicle rolled back, striking another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed. There was no one in the vehicle so there were no injuries sustained. A dealer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,735. Ad.

In August I received notice of a safety recall because of a brake problem. The letter instructed us to wait for notification that parts are available. It has been nearly two months since I got the notification. I have called the company, and they tell me that the parts are still not available. Because the brakes are an important part of safety, it seems to me that Mazda has not performed the repairs in a timely manner.

Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Mazda m3. The contact stated that while at approximately 40 mph, there was a flapping noise coming from both rear wheels, then the vehicle would start to vibrate violently. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to borman autoplex dealership located at 470 w boutz rd, las cruces, nm 88005 (575) 525-4500 where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v393000 (parking brake) however, the part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not contacted and made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,238. Part distribution disconnect. Aw.

No accidents recalls that have not been fixed. Dealer can't get parts.
