Fuel Pump Problems of Mazda MAZDA3

The contact's daughter own's a 2018 Mazda m3. The contact stated while her daughter was driving at an unknown speed the vehicle completely lost motor power. The contact stated that all warning lights illuminated at the time of the failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the possible failure cause was diagnosed as the fuel pump needing replacement. The contact was relating the failure to the NHTSA campaign number 21v875000 (fuel system, gasoline) however the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacture has not been contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

I was filling my gas tank up and noticed fuel leaking on the ground. Droped car off for repair. Garage did smoke test of fuel tank and identified that the plastic ring on fuel pump was cracked, the garage had to remove the fuel tank and replace the plastic ring and seal. My warranty did not cover this repair and it cost me out of pocket $399. 96 my request is this covered under any regulations or recalls on this make and model of vehicle?.

2005 Mazda 3s would not start. Mechanic reprogrammed the main relay and replaced fuel pump & gauge twice but problem persists. The fuel pump and gauge were replaced a second time but the vehicle still failed to start occasionally. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer but they were unable to find the cause of the problem. Mazda tech support was called and the they suggested changing the fuel canister. It was replaced on June 22, 2006.
