I have received several recall letters regarding the defective driver and passenger airbags. It's been 2 years since I received letter from Mazda regarding one airbag. Within those two years, my Mazda dealer still states they are unable to source parts for the recall, two years after first notice. Received letter from Mazda regarding passenger airbag recall (now two recalls). Local Mazda dealer still states Mazda hqs has not provided them with required parts to fix both recalls. Will be writing a letter to bbb regarding Mazda corporate's failed fulfillment of a potentially life threatening recall that has simply been brushed under the rug with no concern of the public's safety.

14 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/27/2016

We were notified in July 2015 of air bag recall, told parts weren't yet available and that we would be notified when they were. As of January 2016, 7 months later, we never got a notice from them. We called and they had the parts ordered for us in about a week. Just got the call that our parts are in, but the dealership will only do the work on a weekday, not on weekend. My wife and I both work Monday through Friday, and both of us have fairly new jobs so taking time out during our work day for this is disruptive to our jobs, yet the dealership refuses to perform the work on a Saturday when we are both readily available. Since this recall is the fault of the manufacturer, shouldn't they be accommodating to our schedules to get this work completed?.
