Dashboard Crack problems of the 2012 Mazda MAZDA6

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Mazda 6. The contact stated that there was a crack on the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (escondido Mazda in escondido, CA, 760-755-5900) and was informed that there was no recall for the dashboard. About two years later, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v429000 (air bags). The dealer was contacted (browning Mazda in cerritos, CA, 562-924-1414) and the technician promised to check for part availability. The technician did not call back. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the dashboard was not covered by a recall. The failures were not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
