Can smell strong gas fumes, after filling gas tank. Also, gas tank leaking, after putting gas in tank, at half fill or full tank, get gas smells and leaking. While stationary and moving, can smell gas fumes. Headlights do not provide adequate visibility at night and during rainy weather. Headlights adequate only in high beam mode.
Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Mazda 6. The contact stated that after filling the fuel tank the strong odor of fuel was present inside the vehicle and inside the garage. Once the fuel tank was at 3/4, the odor would dissipate. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA recall campaign number 14v114000 (fuel system). The contact indicate that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall and spiders were also present inside the vehicle, as listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 102,000.
