Tl the contact owns a 2016 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that the electronic parking brake failed. The contact stated that he was not able to disengage the parking brake. The parking brake light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer nor an independent mechanic for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
2016 Mazda 6 would just randomly enraged e-brake without you engaging it and would not release, parking brake and brake lights are on. Mazda said control module was malfunctioning. Mazda(bakersfield)refuses to fix it as error codes wouldn't show up when diagnosing it.
