Unknown Or Other problem #1

Both rear tire pressure sensors failed due to either over-tightening or corrosion. Both sensors snapped off right below the sensor stem cap causing both rear tires to deflate. On a newer car still under warranty, Mazda claims sensors are only covered until 36000 miles. And they're not cheap either ($80 each, not including installation. ).

Unknown Or Other problem #2

My 2010 Mazda 6 which has less than 10,000 miles on it has been reported by the service center that all 4 rotors are out of round and need to be replaced. However, the brakes and brake pads are fine. The warranty will not cover the replacement of the rotors. Another issue is when I turn the steering wheel to the right the horn will randomly start beeping. The service center stated it did not happen for them.

Yesterday I found a yellow sac spider in my 2008 4 cylinder Mazda 6.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

On 17 Feb 2011 I was driving my 2003 Mazda 6s and while driving at a low speed of 25 mph all my lights on my dashboard turned on and my car immediately began to reduce speed almost to a stand still. Luckily I was able to pull to the side of the road in time to avoid any accidents or possible damage to my vehicle. I restarted my car and was able to proceed in driving. However my engine light remained on. I researched this issue online and found that someone with the same model vehicle and year had the same issue almost verbatim. The referrenced a service bulletin from Mazda bulletin 01-016/06 released in 2006 regarding throttle body replacement. I read the bulletin and sure enough it stated to inspect the letters on the throttle body. It showed aa,ab,ba markings = no good and bb marking = good. So I inspected my vehicles throttle body letter and sure enough it was "aa". I will have to definately replace it, and of course I have no choice because you can imagine the ramifications of driving on a highway or freeway and something like this were to occur. Accidents, or even death. It is pretty upsetting that something has not been done to correct these issues especially with the potential consequences of this defect!.

Unknown Or Other problem #5

Mazda6 purchased - current mileage 84808- discovered oil leak at engine rear main seal. Service mgr offered to correct problem. Oil leak not noticeable-oil dropping on under engine shield and coagulating. Low mileage might indicate problem existed at time of manufacture. If so, replacement of vehicle is proper action on part of manufacturer/seller. Oil changes have been done frequently and on time, however Mazda is refusing to help with cost due to warranty expiration and the fact the car did not have a oil change at the dealership every time. The Mazda warranty does not explain that the oil filter has to be Mazda brand it states that it should be Mazda compatible. Due to this inconsistency many Mazda's are having engine failure such as mine. My vehicle is still in my driveway, awaiting a new engine, that I cannot afford. Please help!! for everyone reading this that is looking to buy a Mazda don't!!! Mazda is a horrible car!.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

Bought this car in 2010 ever since I had it nightmare, the automatic transmission would bang between 1st and 2nd gear at just normal speed, the tires would spin because of this. It also would slip out of gear in 3rd with shifting up sometimes. But just recently I found out that the intake tube for the car had a giant hole in it. So fixed that and its not really banging 1st and 2nd but slips a little bit.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

I was driving on the right lane (the slow lane) of the freeway, going around 60-65 mph. Around 4:45 p. M on a clear day, I noticed a white sedan next to me starting to change lanes into my lane. It did not see my car, because I had to veer slight right to avoid being hit by the car. My car did not handle the sudden move well and immediately started to swerve left and right uncontrollably for 1-2 seconds. I could not regain control of the car even though both my hands were on the steering wheel, trying to straighten the car. The car then lost complete control and swerved/spun all the way left (imagine making a complete left turn on the freeway), into the 3rd lane. It continued going in a counter-clockwise direction until a white van ran into my car in the middle of the freeway, stopping the car in a head-on collision. The air bags popped, smoke started coming from the car. I was amazingly unhurt for the most part. I took my hands of the steering wheel and managed to open the driver seat door to exit the vehicle. The final position of the car was facing exactly the opposite direction of traffic. Several firefighters/paramedics arrived and proceeded to clean up the debris scattered around the roads and pushed the car to the side of the freeway. The car insurance company hired forensic engineers to reconstruct the accident and inspect the car for damages. Unfortunately, there was nothing conclusive to report (although the front rotors were suspect).

My complaint is with the service center in medford NY Mazda. They had my car for a total of 2 yrs. And could not fix there was no accident.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

My daughter and were at the top of the on-ramp for I-64 east bound, at south charleston, wv. This is a long merge lane that becomes the far-right lane on I-64. We were driving at 40 to 42 mph, as attested to by two witnesses. A t this point we felt a left "shimmy" in the rear of our 2005 Mazda 6 hatchback (front wheel drive, with anti-skid brakes, and sensors to signal the other wheel if one wheel begins to slide). My daughter corrected the shift and we continued in the merge lane. Within a few seconds we experienced a violent jerk to the left in the rear of the car. It threw us into a swerve, but, my daughter regained control, and we were again headed east. Within seconds, the rear again jerked left violently. We were thrown into a clockwise spin and hurtled into the median wall, then propelled backward. The car was totaled. The drivers door opened when my daughter applied force to it, but, the passenger door wouldn't open until my daughter pulled from the outside as I shoved with my feet inside. The hood was up, smoke & steam poured out, & we heard popping sounds. I was able to exit when my daughter pulled on the outside and I pushed with my feet on the inside. Fortunately, there was no traffic in the immediate area & oncoming traffic was distant enough to stop before reaching us. There was a husband and wife whom had been driving behind us since the entrance of the on ramp and `witnessed the entire accident. They called 911, then pulled to the side of the interstate to wait for emergency and police help to arrive. The husband helped me sit down and asked if I was alright, then said, "I've never seen anything like that before in my life. The entire rear of your car just slid out from under you to the left". In 36 years of driving, dealing with different weather, road surfaces, day and night, have never experienced what happened with our car. Our insurance sent a crash inquiry, but no accident reports came back. She suggested I file a report with this agency.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

Paint is chipping off front of hood and coming off the bumper around fog lamps. Service manager at local dealership says that it is rock chips and thay want do anything about it. The Mazda 626 has only 33,000 miles on it and I have never seen a car with this low mileage have so many chips on it. I believe the paint on this car is defective and that Mazda should do something about it.

Unknown Or Other problem #11

There is an intermittant problem with the ventilation system on my 2002 Mazda tribute. With the vent system on (not the a/c) and the car has been running and warmed-up, after shutting the engine off for a few minutes , the vent system will begin blowing very hot air for an extended period of time. For instance when the ambient temperature is cool, the vent system still blows extremely hot air, as though the temperature control was set at the hottest temp. This is when the temperature control is set at the coolest setting. When this occurs, the only way to correct it is to switch to a/c for a short period of time and then back to vent.

Unknown Or Other problem #12

Mazda tribute 2002- when car accelerates over 40 miles per hour it sounds as if it is going over a grating. It shudders and jerks. It has been occurring since we purchased this new car in 2002. Brought this car to dealer several times and it has been hard to determine the cause. Dealer flushed transmission. Car is still, shuddering, grinding at acceleration. Any one out there have the same problem?.

Unknown Or Other problem #13

It was stated that the consumer's vehicle has the presence of rust on the door sashes of all four doors. Within eight months of owning the vehicle, there were other problems such as a defective cd player, a persistent sulfurous smell coming from the exhaust which entered the vehicle, a defective fuse access cover and the removal of the interior driver and passenger door panels to remedy a rattling noise when driving.
