I'm stuck in my vehicle because no amount of pressure will release the switch lever. Luckily this wasn't a traffic stop because this would have made things complicated if not deadly, not even considering the high possibility that I would need to exit the car immediately should I be in a accident.

Mazda corporation notified me of airbag/seat belt sensor defect. I took the car to shoreline Mazda, aurora, CO to remedy the problem. The shoreline Mazda service department has not remedied the problem. I'm returning the automobile for the 5th time. Attached are the work orders. The last visit on 06/22/2018, the service department representative, fran (xxxx). Stated the service department contacted Mazda techincal support regarding the faulty sensor blinking continuously while in motion. Also when the automobile is stationary. Or appears while driving on the highways. (fran) said the technicians didn't know what to do. It was suggested by Mazda techincal support to unplug or disconnect the from the harness. It was found that the sensor had not been connected. The technicians did so and the sensor warning was not flashing on the dashboard. After the last visit and 2 1/2 weeks later. The seat belt sensor continues to flash and blink. Parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. After connecting searbelt and moving in traffic the seat begins to move because seat belt is hooked on the lever that moves the seat into reclining position, very dangerous when in traffic and trying to reach break, gas, etc. This has happened on many occassions and takes me by surprise every time.

The seatbelt is beginning to chaff and unravel. I have had much older and used vehicles before and never have I seen a seatbelt do this. It concerns me that it will detach completely in a collision if it gets worse. The vehicle is not abused and only has 90,000 miles. This is an ongoing issue and I am afraid it will only get worse.
Takata recall - 2011 Mazda 6 I was the passenger in a collision in November 2015 where the 2011 Mazda 6 was t-boned on the driver's side by another vehicle (Ford fusion), which made the Mazda 6 spin several times, hop a curb, and deploy the airbags. As the passenger (front seat) I suffered injuries caused by the takata airbags and required going to the hospital following the collision. Injuries included at least three fractured/broken ribs and major bruising on my right knee. Injuries took over 6 months to heal, taking heavy doses of pain killers just to manage the pain. Lingering effects from this collision can still be felt 7 months later. The driver did not sustain major injuries aside from scrapes and a few bruises. Police reports determined that the driver of the Ford fusion was responsible for the collision and was charged with careless/reckless driving. That driver failed to stop/yield in their turning lane before driving straight into the Mazda 6. The Mazda 6 was declared totaled by insurance. The Mazda 6 was added to the takata airbag recall in may 2016, approximately 6 months after the accident had occurred.

Seat belts do not lock properly and they sometimes stick, not allowing me to unbuckle the belt.
Driver's side lap belt tongue will not unlock/release from the buckle. I had to recline the seat and slide out backwards to get out of the seat.
Vehicle was involved in a front end collision while traveling approximately 30mph. The airbags deployed and the driver was wearing safety belt. After exiting vehicle, a fire was discovered near the bottom of the b-post. Fire burned and melted the interior trim and seatbelt, as well as causing heat damage to the driver's interior door and window. Fire was extinguished with a dry chemical extinguisher. Fire department investigation also found heavy fire damage to the seatbelt pretensioner, which was located in the area of fire origin.

Air bags are deadly. My grand daughter sits in the back seat which is very dangerous the seat belt never locks properly just a piece of trash.
I was reared ed 2 years ago in September. When I took my vehicle in to get fixed the seatbelts were checked and in working order. A couple weeks later I removed my son's car seat to sweep out the car and to wash his seat. As I was putting his seat back in I noticed the belt would not lock. So I moved it over to the passenger side as my oldest always sat on the drivers side. A couple weeks after that the rear passenger seatbelt wouldn't lock. Now I have a infant in the vehicle went to put her carseat behind the drivers side. Worked up until a week ago I noticed today as I was taking her seat out of the base it was moving a lot. I yanked on the seatbelt now it won't lock. I have read complaints on this and recalls on some cars for this.

My drivers side front headlight issue first began about 50k miles (oct. 2012). The headlight went out and I went to replace the bulb but it wouldn't turn on. My mechanic fixed the brakes around the same time and took around the block, went over a bump and the bulb came back on. I've had issue ever since. Usually I can give it a little tap and it will come back on. Not this time! ive replaced the bulb twice since 2013, it's at 80,555 miles now and it won't come back on at all! there should be a recall, for I've searched the interent and found many Mazda 6's in many model years that have this same issue. My drivers seat belt just began getting stuck at 80,300 miles. The day before father's day was the first time it happened. (June 20, 2015). I went to target and I couldn't get out of my seatbelt when I turned the car off. I jiggled it and pushed on it repeatedly until I heard it click again and it finally released. This is incredibly unsafe and I have to be very careful how I put my seatbelt on until I hear the "right click" or it won't let me out. My cruise went out on my way back from ok in Aug. 2013, right around 65,000 miles I believe. I was coming up on the CA border and had to stop for inspection and as I slowed down, my car began lunging forward despite the fact that I applied the brakes. I turned it off and back on and it stopped until I used the cruise again. Then it'd lunge again when I'd slow down or attempt to stop. I called my friend and he said to stop using the cruise. The problem has not continued, but I also haven't used the cruise since 2013. My car doesn't even have 100k miles and I bought it new. I've maintained it and it still had other issues. The keyless entry, bose 6 disc, alternator and thermostat have all malfunctioned! the lights on the radio display don't light properly and the headliner falls down despite my best efforts to fix it.
The contact stated that due to a crash, the vehicle caught on fire at the base of the seat belt from locking down impact. A police report was filed. The driver and four passengers suffered injuries during the crash. The injuries included bruising and contusions. One of the passengers also suffered a broken collar bone after impacting with a seat. The vehicle was declared destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileages were unknown. Updated 05/09/12 the consumer stated the above vehicle ran a red light at high speed and t-boned a Toyota yaris. The driver of the Mazda was charged with dui and other offenses. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000. Jft.

When I enter car and attach seat belt, at some point during starting out or in the process of going down the road, the seat will start leaning backwards due to the seatbelt being hooked around the lever to tilt the seat back. My feet no longer reach the gas or break pedal when this happens. I have been fortunate enough that it has not been the cause of an accident so far. It happens at any time after starting out or anytime during driving or in motion. Seems to be happening more often the longer I have had it.
I purchased a 2008 madza 6 in March of 2009 and the front passenger safety belt would lock intermittently. In June 2009 my husband took the car back to sesi motors and advised them of the problem and they supposedly fixed it. However on April 7, 2010 my husband and son was in a car accident and my son had on his seatbelt however his head hit the windshield. When my husband went to take off the seatbelt it was not fastened the lock did not hold causing my sons head to hit the windshield. He sustained injuries he was unconscious for approximately 10 minutes before ems got to him and he had a concussion. My son is now complaining of headaches, back aches and neck pains.
