I have a 2007 Mazda Miata. The driver side floor mat has ringed holes for floor mounted holding pins, however, no such pins were installed in my car. I jerry-rigged two holding links from a coat hanger between the floor mat holes to the under carriage of my seat. I contacted Mazda USA and all they said is no recall has been made on my model. They didn't address the problem. I believe my problem is similar to the Toyota recall and want to know what I should do to correct the problem properly.
The electric top never worked since I bought it. The dealer replaced the motor on the top. It still catches when I go to take it down. It also catches sometimes when I put it up. I took it in several times and was always told the same thing. I have contacted the customer service at Mazda to no avail. Here it is 2016 and the problem remains. Very frustrating. They wore me out before I wore them out. It has never worked from the beginning, it sounds like it catches.
