Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Mazda Miata. The contact stated that while coming to a stop, the vehicle accelerated regardless of the brakes being depressed. The contact had to shift the gear to neutral position in order to slow down and shut the vehicle off. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000. Jo.

I bought a new Miata mx5 (2010) and I noticed after a while that due to the limited space - I am 6 foot tall - I have cramps in my right foot. I am worried about an accident. I went to a Mazda dealer and they confirmed that the right foot is in an awkward position that takes the weight of the entire leg. However, they said they cannot do anything about that. I am concerned about my safety and do not know what to do.

Loud noise from transmission in 4th gear from 3500 - 4000 rpm at full throttle. Mazda claims this is normal and after driving 10 seperate 99 Miata's this noise is not normal. The noise is present on all 99 Miata's but the loudness varies. On my Miata the noise is 2 -3 times as loud as all other 99 Miata's I have driven.
