One problem related to starter has been reported for the 1996 Mazda Millenia. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Intermittent starting problems: initially, when key is turned there is a grinding sound and engine fails to turn over. Subsequently, when the key is turned again there is a loud popping noise but the engine turns over.
