One problem related to sway bar has been reported for the 1998 Mazda MPV. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear anti-sway bar brackets snapped off (both) from rear axle housing - Mazda service referred to auto body - determined by auto body they were not welded entire length of bracket (engineering/production oversight) - Mazda consumer compliance has denied responsibility.
