Takata recall has affected my vehicle and after 7 months the company nor the local dealership has done anything to address the defective part. We have been notified to not allow anyone to ride in the passenger side of the vehicle and this is terribly obstructive to our transportation needs. I believe far too much time has elapsed and still the company nor the local dealership has addressed this very serious issue.
Drivers side seat airbag inflated for no reason at all. Emergency care was required. Caused a cracked rib and severe pan.

I was trying to start my "new" used Mazda Mpv using ether sprayed into the air filter-box through a small hole, and my driver's-side -impact airbag went off when I turned the ignition key. I was parked in my driveway at the time. I had been trying to start the car for several minutes, and had sprayed "starting fluid" into the box one other time several minutes before. This process had worked for me two times in the past with no problem. The starting fluid was sprayed through a 1/4" hole I had drilled on the upstream side of the air filter, because I was having starting problems and it is difficult to open the filter box in this car. I inspected the filter box for signs of an explosion inside, thinking that might have triggered the airbag, and it was intact; the retaining clips are not distorted, and the filter (brand new) was not displaced or damaged in any way. I do not believe this had anything to do with the deployment, but I mention it for the sake of completeness; I think that the particular sequence of key cycles I used in trying to start the car somehow triggered the airbag.
We were going thru an intersection when another person decided to turn left too early. We were already 1/2 way through, could not stop, traveling around 20 mph. We hit the passenger side front tire area of his vehicle with the front end of our van. Our van totally lost the front bumper, the front is totally smashed, my husbands knees hit the dash so hard he dented the dash. My glasses flew off. My daughter who was in the rear driver side had scrapes and bruises from the seatbelt constraint kicking in. All this and neither air bag went off. Insurance is working on estimates to repair or total the van?.

My vehicle is under national recall highway safety recall, due to manufacturing issues. I need to trade my vehicle in and I'm being over charged for vehicles that are not worry to be on the highway. I feel I should get an manufacture discount on an used/new vehicle because I should not have to pay for manufactured mistakes and I should not be over charged for vehicles that are not worthy of the price tag on them. Thank you, ms. Yasmeyn annair p. O. Box 280293 nashville, TN 37228.
I had an accident the 01/18/05 in Mazda Mpv 2001 van, the insurance company declare total lost of the car, and my complaint is because the air bags did not work, never came out, that`s why me and my family are in therapy for neck and back, I asking for help, because I called the Mazda company and they do not give me any solutions, this is my first accident and, I don`t know what I have to do.
I've had 2 auto accidents involving the front of my van and both times the airbags have failed to come out. Both times the front end of my van have had to be repaired.
While traveling at 45 mph consumer's vehicle hit another vehicle that ran a light. Upon impact, none of the air bags deployed.
