The contact owns 2003 Mazda Mpv. The contact stated that the vehicle had a flat tire and when the towing company attempted to remove the spare tire the technicians had a difficult time removing the tire from underneath the vehicle. The rear support cylinder that holds up the rear door has rusted around the ball and snapped in half in that area. Leaving only one support arm to hold the door up. Fortunately, it broke while we were putting the door back down, so there were no injuries. I believe this rusting occurred due to water getting in through the cracks of the door from rain/washing, etc. This has caused the door to be extremely heavy and the other support cylinder is not able to support the weight. We have 5 children so this could cause some serious injury if the door were to fall closed while one of them is around. I found a recall for this exact problem for canada only however this is a common problem with us makes as well.

With no damage or scratch whatsoever to the front bumper and license plate of my 2001 Mazda van after I hit a pole lightly in a parking lot, I found out that the reinforcement behind bumper was cracked open and the condenser and radiator assembly behind it was severely damaged. I wonder how this kind of damages to the reinforcement, condenser, and radiator could happened when I have no damage whatsoever to any outside parts. I wonder if the reinforcement had any inherent structural problem with a serious implication for the safety of the car. If you can investigate such situation and possibility, it would be much appreciated. I can provide pictures of the damages if required.

- the contact owns a 2000 Mazda Mpv. The contact's cigarette lighter didn't work properly, it currently was not working . The passenger door locks did not unlock without the contact manually unlocking them or using the key. There were no warning indicators for the failures. While driving 50 mph the vehicle began making a loud roaring noise, it began to shake and appeared to lose power, but never stalled. The contact restarted the vehicle and the failure recurred. The current and failure mileage were 44000.
Water gets in the door panel every time it rains or we wash the car. Three different Mazda dealers tried to fix the problem five times, unsuccessfully. I am afraid to drive my children in the car. The door is electric and it could cause a serious problem. Also mold could develop in there. I have contacted the Mazda corporation. They inspected the car. The problem has been identified by Mazda. They promised to resolve the problem, but are not doing anything about it. They ignore my phone calls and letters. What should I do? thanks.

Leak in 2000 Mpv that dealer stated was due to "outside influence" and would not be covered as a manufacturer's defect. Dealer told us that the leak (which ruined our floor boards, rugs and wiring) was due to parking the car outside, which led to dirt and leaves getting into the hood, (or somewhere) clogging the drainage system . We do park the car outside in a clear driveway. (we were not aware that you had to own a garage to own a Mazda). We have never had an accident or made any modifications to the car. It just started to leak uncontrollably. They also refused to fix the spare tire holder(which is under the base of the car) which according to the dealer, broke on the first use. (we simply followed the instructions in the manual when removing the tire from the holder) we can not put the tire back, and were told that it would cost us 480. (at least) to fix it. Our car is 6 months and 5,000 miles out of warranty and will be ruined the next time it rains as water pours into the front of the car into the floorboards, after soaking the wiring. I suppose we will have to move and buy a garage. . . .
Mold is starting to grow in the van under the mats. This is the second time it has happened and the dealer says that it is not covered. The water gets in when it does not drain properly.
Air quality inside vehicle is toxic. 2003 Mazda Mpv air quality inside of vehicle is toxic.
While driving on highway, traveling at 60-70 mph, and driving behind an 18 wheel truck, vehicle will become harder to control due to wind pressure. Contacted dealer, and the dealer is not willing to do anything.
