On the dash the amber abs light came on as well as the red brake light and they stayed on for a couples and I took it to the shop and they said it was the "steering angle sensor" and they changed it and the lights came back on a day later and they took another look from head to toe and they couldn't find a reason why the abs and brake lights were staying on and now its only intermit after four weeks, it cost me about $644. 00 dollars for the sas plus $130. 00 for diagnostic plus renter car and the lights still come on (meineke auto shop. ) on the screen of the car it states something wrong with the electrical vacuum pump but they checked and the scanner is not pulling nothing up and the shop end up stating, it was probably an "electrical issue. " I believe with the miles the car has, it shouldnt had needed any new sensor and there is a possible electrical defect or bad wiring. Car has no accidents and drives fine and straight but the lights come on a few times a week but never when im driving only when its first turned on.

There were two separate incidents on the same day, Sunday, December 4, 2022. I rounded a corner on a city street (goodfish farm road), which is parallel to the wal-mart shopping center in albeny, oregon. Usa. When I applied the brake the car “floored it. ” I pushed the brake pedal hard with my right foot and car rushed a little but came back under control, it scared me and I did a mental note to check the floor pads. I pulled on into the larking lot without incident and went on with my shopping. About an hour later I got back into the car drive about 11 miles hone in it without incident until I drive down my driveway, applied the brake to stop at my house, and the car repeated it’s performance. This time it was in gravel, so it dug through about 8 inches of top gravel and dug out 10” inch bedrock from the driveway.

As I was exiting a bp gas station (62 griffin corporation dr, chelsea, al 35043) and making a right onto county road 11, the rear tires of the car started to spin (1/4 throttle). I noticed that abs or the stability control system did not activate. The rear tires continued spinning and I felt the car's back end fishtailing. At this point, I started to get on the brakes hard and try to do minor corrections, when I felt that the brake pedal was not pulsating, and the car was not slowing down at all. At this point, I was facing oncoming traffic and the railroad tracks that were about >500 ft in front of me. I look to my right and notice that I am about to slide into the railroad crossing sign. The impact was hard enough to where my right buttock ended up next to the handbrake of the car. My arm is slightly bruised from it being swung to the right and hitting the passenger window. The airbags were not deployed at all. However, the damage done to the car is, left lower control arm scratched/scuffed/damaged, the passenger side mirror broken off, the passenger door dented inwards, the side skirt (the part that runs across the bottom of the car) ripped off on the driver's side and bent upwards on the passenger side, and finally, the passenger side door sill dented/bent inwards. The pictures attached are the photos of my bruise and and the incident.
Front brembo brakes locked after car is parked overnight. It unlocked after I force the car forward. It releases with a loud snap. This occurs 2 or 3 times a month. Car drives fine. Dealer has no solution. Dealer requests overnight assessment unfortunately this occurs without predictability.

When traveling about 20 mph, approaching an intersection, the car brake stopped working. As the car slowed down and got off the road, it was stopped by shifting to park. The brake worked again after stopping. This is the second time the brake stopped working. The first time was within a week after we received the new car. When backing out of the driveway, the car could not be stopped - until it was shifted to drive. At that time, we did not know for sure what the problem was.

I purchased the new miata on 4/23. When going over the functions with the salesman, he pulled the emergency brake up very hard. I was not able to released it with both hands. He apologized for pulling it up too far & said that was not necessary. I used the brake a number of times as I drove the car with him and there was a distinct spot where the brake would stop, which I assumed meant it was engaged. I asked the salesman for any feedback he had about how I was driving. He was positive. The next day, with 77 total miles on the odometer, and the emergency brake engaged, the car rolled from a relatively flat area where it was parked, down an embankment, into the woods and the front end is destroyed. The tow truck driver told me he didn't think the brake was fully engaged, got into the car & pulled the brake into the position again that I was not able to unlock even with both hands. I showed him the position I had put it in. He said he understood the problem—that the seat needed to be farther back to get a good position to release the emergency brake, and with the forward seat position I used to reach the clutch, that I was not able to pull back hard enough on the brake. I'm 5'3". This is a problem. I should add that the car was not in gear when this happened. It was in neutral, which I understand now is not a good idea. However, I have to believe the emergency brake is designed to hold a car on a flat surface without rolling, otherwise it's not much good in an emergency. If women with the seat in a forward position are not able to sufficiently engage the brake, I consider this a very dangerous design flaw. I wish the sale man had spent less time showing me how the radio works, and more time explaining the hazards of the emergency brake.
