One problem related to mechanical jack has been reported for the 1996 Mazda Protege. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While the front left tire was being changed the jack collapsed. The dealership is aware of the prolbem. Dealer stated to consumer that this problem never happened before and that the jack will be sent to the manufacturer for replacement.
