One problem related to tire sidewall has been reported for the 1999 Mazda Protege. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Sidewalls found to be cracking as if dry-rotting on 7/23/02. E-mailed firestone with no response yet. Scheduled to replace tires Friday because I consider them unsafe especially after reading on this site about all the sidewall blowouts.
