Tl-the contact owns a 2003 Mazda motor corp pr5 sa. The contact believed that her vehicle is associated to Mazda manufacturer number 3005c (intake manifold shutter and variable tumble control valves emission recall). The contact stated while driving 50 mph when the engine seized, the contact was able to pull over to the side of the road safely. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated until after the vehicle was stalling check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing to be replaced timing belt and engine. The contact stated when the independent mechanics were taking apart the engine they found a screw inside the intake and valve has failed. The contact stated the vehicle have not been repair as yet. The contact stated a local dealer was contacted, and informed that the vehicle is not associated to the recall. The manufacturer had been informed of failure, and also informed that the vehicle is not associated to the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 188,000.
