Three problems related to manual transmission have been reported for the 2005 Mazda RX8. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Clutch dosent come back all the way up.
The clutch bracket on my vehicle broke and almost caused me to have an accident in an intersection. I can barely shift now and after reading about it I see that several others have had the same issue.
It started to click and squeak. I was driving through the intersection when the pedal bracket snapped when me and my children almost got hit by a coal truck because of this. I had to take it to my dads shop and weld it which I'm still unsure of how long it will last since the metal is thin and it is squeaking again.
