One problem related to steering column has been reported for the 2006 Mazda RX8. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There is a white bushing that breaks and is not replaceable. The whole steering column has to be replaced. The fact that this car was made with this flaw is beyond my comprehension. The steering wheel becomes very loose and unsafe to drive.
