Front passenger airbag cracked dash and pushed out glove box.

Passenger dash cover has lost integrity/cracked along the lines where the airbag deploys and am concerned that the force of potential airbag deployment could be affected and not work as designed or deploy with too much force to cause injury or death to the occupant if the airbag cover should fly off upon deployment. This is an issue with the dash of many Mazda vehicles and should at a minimum be reviewed. The car has not been in any accidents and the airbags recall has recently been performed by a Mazda dealer.
The ring/assembly holding the driver side visor cracked with normal use (putting the visor down (no excess force was used) and the visor fell into the driver's line of vision, obscuring vision. It was not possible to put the visor back up again. The ring fell out of the car interior.

Clutch pedal bracket broken under normal conditions. I went to push the clutch in to downshift at highway speeds to over take a slower vehicle and it snapped with an audible "pop" and I couldnt shift into the lower gear and my rpms, went to idle at highway speed. Had it broken at a different time, I could have been locked into a certain gear and ha to break fast or crash risking the lives of my occupants and the occupants of another vehicle.

Passenger side dash near airbag area (above glove box visually) is cracking horizontally and vertically. Very concerned about safety of the passenger, premature rupture of airbag, random deployment of airbag. Garage kept car. Crack horizontal has over time progressively gotten worse. Vertical crack began 12. 13. 16. In garage. Have appointment with Mazda dealership to repair 16v-354-but recall paperwork does not acknowledge the area(s) of dash included with repair that will resolve issue and potential hazards-including encasement of airbag. Recall notice does not articulate potential parts associated. "passenger frontal air bag inflator" is all described.
Clutch bracket broke. Clutch got stuck to floor. The vehicle was stationary on a city street.
The clutch pedal (already a known problem by Mazda, but no recall has yet been announced) cracked while I was driving last year. I was on hwy 13 in minnesota and barely got control of my speed (was barely able to maintain use of the clutch) it sat until I could get it repaired, the same pedal is now craking in another spot, working on getting it repaired before it breaks again, this time will reinforce it.
Cracks in the dash immediately above the passenger airbag which is currently a recall issue. It seems that a large number of Rx8 experience cracking in the same spot on the dash, generally following an "h" shape. Reports are that the cracks follow the airbag module assembly underneath the dash, and the cracks follow the seam that would be created in an impact for the airbag to deploy. In my case it began with a 4" left to right crack. In 2015 a recall was performed involving a temporary airbag fix until a permanent fix could be designed. After this interim airbag recall was performed, the cracks intensified. Just received another recall notice that the "final" airbag fix is ready to be performed at the dealer which with all the removal and jostling of the dash to make the final airbag repair, will probably create more cracks. The recall was due to the possibility that airbag parts could become projectiles and cause injury. Would not a poorly designed dash simply break into pieces upon airbag deployment and become projectiles and injury? numerous Rx8 owners are seeing nearly identical h shaped cracks.
Clutch bracket snapped while at stop sign. Unable to get car into gear.
Dash has several cracks over airbag. Cracking started soon after warranty was null. Airbag has recall, but Mazda expects owners to pay $500 for this defective part. Will replace airbag and re-install same cracked dash. Very dangerous in crash situation as small fragments may enter passengers face and upper body. Seems to be a problem with Rx8's according to Mazda mechanic.

As I was pressing my clutch pedal to place my car into first gear, I heard and felt a snap in the clutch. I then noticed that my clutch would not fully disengage and I had trouble placing my car into gears and out of them. Once I arrived home I examined my clutch and noticed that the bracket had snapped. I contacted the Mazda dealership and I was told my car was no longer covered by the warranty and I would have to replace the part out of pocket for a flaw that Mazda created.
I was driving under normal conditions and I was about to shift into third but I heard a pop and it would not get into gear. My pedal stayed depressed and would only come up if I kicked it from behind. I did hear a few creaks when I released the clutch the day before and just thought it needed oil. Turns out the left spot weld broke and the bracket cracked on the left side.
While shifting from 4th to 5th gear, I heard a snapping sound come from the clutch pedal, followed by the inability to shift gears because there was no pressure coming from the clutch pedal. The clutch pedal bracket had snapped, causing the pedal to move at an angle and the push rod that leads from the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder punctured the clutch master cylinder causing it to fail.
The clutch pedal bracket in my 2005 Mazda RX-8 has broken and as a result is very difficult to change gears.
I purchased a 2007 Mazda RX-8 new from a Mazda dealer. I started noticing that the dashboard on the passenger side starting cracking around the area where the air bag is located. I have reached out to ocean Mazda and to Mazda USA. No one took the time to call me back. I am very upset and concerned that the air bag may deploy without warning since the dask is cracked or worst case scenario that the air bag will not deploy correctly when in a collision. This very is in great condition with very low miles and should not have a dashboard that only cracks around the perforation lines of the passenger side airbag.
The dashboard that covers the passenger airbag has been cracking in the outline of the airbag since prior to 10/4/2012. Mazda said they would not cover the replacement. I've attached my 10/4/2012 request for an estimate of repair, but I did not get it repaired. I believe they should be paying for this defect. I've also attached a picture of the dashboard as of today. I am afraid it is going to burst open and injure or kill someone.

Dashboard over airbag began to crack over the airbag on 01/102010. As the months went on, it got much bigger. I have contact my local dealer and also Mazda USA. They seem to Dodge the whole thing, or say its just cosmetic. I'm afraid for my familys saftey, with the whole airbag maybe coming out. I'm glad that I have an extra warranty because so many things need to be replaced.
I bought my 2007 Mazda RX from the dealership in 2007. I have called and complained to Mazda USA about the front right passengers dash cracking into the shape of the air bag. Also, both visors have melted off the cables. Again, I have called but they are telling me that it is my problem to fix. After reading several complaints of the same problem, I really don't believe it's something that I've done wrong.
