I was driving my 2007 Mazda RX-8/6 speed. I was in 2nd gear shifting into 3rd gear when my clutch pedal broke off. I had to slam on the brakes to stop the car in gear and have it towed to the dealership. I'm currently renting a car and the dealship is telling me it will be around 10 days to fix it. The biggest problem is that my clutch was damaged and the dealership won't replace it. Out of pocket costs are at 1,700. 00$ right now.
My Mazda Rx8 drivers door latch became defective. You can't open the door unless you climb out the passenger side. A lot of Mazda Rx8 owners have had similar complaints. You can go on Rx8club. Com and see for yourself. I have brought it to many places to try to have it fixed and no one can due to the design of the door. If I was involved in a accident there would be no way for me to escape the vehicle. This is very dangerous and I have called Mazda to complain and they essentially laughed at me and said I was on my own. If I had enough money I would sue them because I have a legitimate case. Please keep in mind that this has effected hundreds of Mazda Rx8 owners and I am not the only one. Please investigate this! someone is going to be seriously injured or killed due to the failure of the latch system and the design flaw that prevents you from fixing it without ripping the door off!.
My drivers side door latch is defective. I can't open the door. I have tried to get it replace, but the auto body shop and dealer can't do so.
Driver's side sun visor cracked and separated from post. It was hanging and would not stay up, out of field of vision. The dealer removed the visor while waiting for the replacement part. After starting the car later the same day, the check engine light came on and the central display and door locks did not work. While dropping off passenger before returning to the dealer, passenger folded down passenger-side sun visor, which also cracked and separated from the post. Took car back to dealer, who is trying to say this is not under warranty, and has called Mazda rep to examine but is keeping my car. Several reports of this on edmunds and other auto consumer sites. I merely want visors replaced and electrical system fixed under warranty.
