Four problems related to suspension have been reported for the 2001 Mazda Tribute.

1 A mechanic told me the front crossmember rusted through and broke it was towed to Mazda dealership to fix under recall where it sat for a week after that time got a call from the service manager that Mazda refuses to fix it stating that the previous owner was neglectful.

2 The steering wheel wandered which caused the vehicle to change lanes at high and low speeds. Ph. The emission light illuminated and the problem was repaired twice. The steering problem was repaired 6 times.

3 The front suspension wore and caused the vehicle to be hard to control. Dealer notified.

4 The vehicle pulled to the right so severely, that constant attention had to be maintained on the steering wheel. The pull was more severe at higher speeds. The dealer attempted to fix the vehicle 7 times, and they stated the problem was caused by crown of the road or the consumer's tires. Also there was condensation in the headlamp.
