To replace the part, the dealer would need to maneuver other components to access the location necessary to replace the part. Some parts could potentially fracture to complete the recall repair. 9 The contact owns a 2003 Mazda Tribute. The contact stated that while traveling 20 mph, the rear of the vehicle was crashed into by another vehicle. Upon impact, the hatch opened inadvertently. 10 Retaining clip came off of the pin that holds the front driver door in the hinge, causing the door to fall. The pin is inserted from the bottom up rather than from the top down so when the clip came off, the pin fell out.
