Four problems related to structure have been reported for the 2005 Mazda Tribute.
Structure problem
1 The contact owns a 2005 Mazda Tribute. While driving 30 mph, the contact heard a banging noise. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear passenger wheel well was corroded and the shock was exposed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 178,000.
Structure problem
2 The contact owns a 2005 Mazda Tribute. The contact stated that the passenger side rear wheel weld was rusted and as a result, the struts fractured from the frame. The dealer was notified of the problem. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000.
Structure problem
3 When the brakes of the consumer's 2005 Mazda Tribute were applied the vehicle pulled to the left or right. There was a rattle on the right side, the drivers mirror vibrated, the temperature sensor in the auto dimming mirror registered incorrectly, the wiper did not have complete contact with the window and there was a rust spot on the inside lip of the moon roof.
Structure problem
4 Problems with vehicle violently swerving from side to side. The consumer stated the vehicle became so unstable had to immediately slow down and change lanes to avoid a roll over.
