Vehicle had encountered numerous mechanical and control issues from the outset. Electrical system, fuel pump, accelerator pedal, power steering, windows, and air bag lights.

Fuel gauge indicates low fuel level when the tank is full and indicates full tank when there is no fuel. Fuel sending unit replaced 2 times already. The first time on 02/01/00 with only 1064 miles on the car. The second time on 01/29/02 with 19175 miles on the car. A brief search on the internet found many other owners of mercedes-benz cars had similar fuel sending unit problem. However, mercedes-benz continues to say there is no problem with the fuel sending unit in their cars.
