One problem related to other fuel system tank filling/charging has been reported for the 2003 Mercedes Benz 320. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Strong gas smell in garage after filling gas tank. Appeared to come from left rear side of the car. A few days later, the check engine light came on. Diagnosis by dealer is that there is a crack in the upper part of the gas tank. Gas tank and fuel assembly must be replaced. Estimate is for $3,000. Not covered by warranty and customer must pay full replacement cost.
