Two problems related to front suspension springs have been reported for the 2000 Mercedes Benz 500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 65 mph the air suspension system malfunctioned without warning. As a result the front end collapsed. The cause had not been determined. Please provide additional information.
While driving 40-45 mph suspension/automatic stability control light came on, vehicle became lower to the ground. Vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed consumer that air suspension system needed to be replaced. 9-25-07 phone converstaion: was run off the road into a ditch. Air suspension worked fine before, after crash light was on and vehicle had to be towed. [smch].
