Two problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 2005 Mercedes Benz C230. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Hi my name is (xxxxx) I own the vehicle describe and provided the VIN nr I went to the Mercedes Benz of portland or situated in 1605 s. W naito pkwy portlland oregon on the date of 3 October 2019 because this car have a s. R. S recall they make me waiting from 10;16 to 15;41 but they du not want to solve all the recall for free motivated the company they du not allow to change every sensor for free because on the cost too big !!! the car have several issue since that and I am on disability I can change those issue by myself please take note and helping me >thank you very mach (xxxx) redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. 1) 2005 mb C230k 4 door sedan vehicle - on board computer reported srs failure. 2) vehicle taken to dealership to address srs failure reported by computer. Dealership reportedly repaired under warranty. Failure notice no longer being reported by on board computer. 3) front side collision occurred today 11/12/05 - was hit by another vehicle traveling approx. 35 mph - no airbags, including side impact air bag, deployed on my vehicle, but both deployed on the other vehicle. Note my vehicle, due to impact, was turned 90 degrees from impact to front of my vehicle - police officer reported incident from his experience definitely should have deployed side, possibly front, airbag on my car.
