Takata recall!.
Transmission went out at 100,ooo miles car went out without warning going at a rate of 40 miles per hour on a buisy highway motorist stranded with a walking disability, esp light came on when trying to put car in drive would not had to be towed now at mercedes dealership north palm beach , dealer ship advised would cost 12,ooo. Oo to repair recall was too late to file deadline 2-15-16.
My check engine light stays on which Mercedes Benz stated its the magnetic stabilizer . Which was stated that a recall maybe coming. This causes a malfunction in having your emission to have a faulty reading. I have less than 120,000 on it . When I have taken to the dealership or service the light still came on. To my understanding a class action was taken against the company by this model was skipped over.
Having problem with the gear shifting, believe this is caused by the shaft balancer, etc. The car grabs and jerks from time to time making me unsure of the safety of my car. My car only has 84,000 miles on it. The car is like new, but as I read the class act against mercedes I noticed that my car has several of the same issues as others listed in the complaint. The interior and exterior of my car is in excellent condition, and I can't believe that the mercedes company would allow an error like this to continue. I would like for this to be corrected by mercedes or to be placed on the class act suit as well.
Driving in to work on the highway I was doing about 70 mph and suddenly I felt hard jolt and the car began to slip and swerve. There had been snow storm the night before and the roads were wet. I manage to control the car and pull over to the emergency lane. The transmission had shifted down for some reason, causing the wheels to slip. Shifted the car to p and back to d but the car had no power. Shifted a few more times and finally I was able to drive into work but the transmission continued shifting up and down unexpectedly. Slipped and swerved a few more times. Upon researching this problem online found that this is a repeating issue across multiple Mercedes Benz models. I am also learning that this problem may cost upwards of $2,000 to repair. This is a very dangerous condition that could have caused an accident. I called mb customer service and they do not admit to any problem with their transmissions despite the multiple instances posted over the net. I am also now seeing that the stability control program is not working nor is the manual shift feature that this car came with that allows me to manually shift the transmission up or down. I put the car in d and cannot shift up or down nor do I see a specific gear selected on the dash board. This leads me to believe that this is either a computer or electronic problem. I first noticed an issue with the transmission about 1 year ago at 60,000 miles when I stopped at a red light and could not get going again once the light turned green. The car was in d but left as if it was in neutral. The engine rpm's ramped up but the car would not move. Had to shift to p and back to d to get going again. I did not see this problem again after that which is the reason I did not do anything about it up until now that I almost had an accident.
While driving on the highway or on any other street my Mercedes Benz C230 engages the left front brake by itself causing the car to veer sharply to the left for about 2 seconds. Multiple occasions of this very dangerous situation. Dealer states that the issue is a faulty yaw rate sensor and charges over $1,000 to repair but this should be a recall due to the potential for this type of malfunction to seriously injure someone or even worse. After researching this event in more detail, I understand that this is a occurence with mb occuring in serval vehichles over the years. This must be recall em.
The brakes failed while driving my 2007mercedesbenz. 5th time. I leased a mbenz 2007 C230w from bill ussery mercedes January 2007. 2 weeks from purchase brought the car into service told them the car would shake vigorously when pressing on brakes to slow down from 40mph or more. Told nothing was wrong. 2months later brought car back and car was shaking when braking. Confirmed the shaking and brake rotors brake pads, brake discs were replaced, front suspension loose/tightened. This has occurred now on 5 separate occassions. Ongoing since February of 2007. I felt unsafe in the car. Called mbusa on 4 separate occasions beginning in October til now. Claim was filed and I never heard back. On may of 2008,my brakes did not work while traveling on the interstate. I went to slow down to exit,no brakes!car shook worse than ever!had the car towed into mercedes. I will not drive that car again!they refuse to replace the car. Once again stated they fixed my car,to pick it up or storage fees would be charged and car impounded. I refuse to drive a car that can injure or kill me or my son or someone else. The service records on this car clearly state all of the above. Mercedes benz refuses to accept responsibility blaming me as the cause for the rotors, brake pads and discs to be replaced 5 times in less than one year. They won't test drive the car on the interstate to simulate what happened to me, but they want me to come get the car and drive it?I am still without a car and I paid for this lease in full 2yrs. I will never drive it again. No one should have to drive it period!I have never had problems with Mercedes Benz and I love their cars, but this one in particular is defective. Please help me. Thanks.
First, my steering wheel wire was replaced from a faulty srs light coming on and the esp light coming on. I had to pay for all of this. Next, euromotor cars said the steering wheel collar was broke. I have never had that fixed because they wanted to charge me and I felt they should replace the collar since they replaced the steering wire. Now my car does not start and the instrument cluster does not light up. I cannot unlock the doors with the remote key and I cannot unlock the trunk of the car. My car just sits because I feel I should not have to pay for any of this any more. I have put $6,800 in repairs in this car. I do not want to pay for another vehicle. I feel my car is unsafe. My car was first serviced at herb gordon's auto group in silver spring, maryland. I was not happy with the service so I decided to try euromotors and the service was worse. They continue to put in codes so there will not be a recall and the consumer has to pay out of pocket. Please help in resolving some of the issues I have had with this 2005 C230 kompressor Mercedes Benz. I would also like for this car to be entered into the recall for the steering wire repair just as the e320. I purchased the car with 4,000 miles on it in 10/2005. Thank you.
