Mercedes recall 17v627 my wife has a matching C250 and filled with you mentioning my VIN as well. You can find her information under your complaint 11149647. When I returned home from out of state work, she told me the story of her attempt to have the recall repaired the criteria of "concern" was having the srs light come on which it did in her car. When she got to arrowhead mb in peoria, they wanted a $175 dx fee plus $400 to pull her bumper to poke around to see if a loose plug were the problem, and she refused to pay it believing they were simply trying to recoup labor costs of fixing a federally mandated recall. We decided to use my car's routine service as a test as it is also under recall. Not only did they want the maintenance fee, but another $3500 for work that I did not accept. I went to another mechanic who said the work absolutely did not need to be done at that time and we both now believe that arrowhead is falsely inflating or directing customers in an attempt to recoup labor costs of fixing a recall. My recall was repaired. This is now two times and I guarantee we will not be back with mercedes in the future, but this is a crime and we want it investigated so no other owner falls for this bait and switch.
