Our garage housed C250 4d sdn year 2013 had its service b performed 12-5-22 and revealed rust on chassis. Was informed that this has been seen frequently on cars of this genre. Was told deterioration could result in chassis breaking and causing an accident. A recall for this issue occurred in europe. . . Why not here?.

Interior driver door handle not operating. I brought the car to the mechanic and he states this is a common problem and the whole door panel has to be replace for 1000. 00. I went home and researched repairs on this and this is a very common issue with mercedes and many mechanics including the one I went to doesn't understand why this is not a recall. This a very serious safety issue. I have to lower the window to get out of my car. If I have to get out quickly it is impossible. If the window stops working I cannot get out of the car. This safety issue affects me and my passengers if I have to get out of my car quick such an accident or fire. The quality is so poor on these plastic parts of the handle and removing the door panel is complicated because it not meant to be removed and taken apart. I am a nurse that was traveling in nevada when this occurred.

Inside handle door left broke 2019 and right broke 8/10/2022, senior people is hard to open a broken door and if an accident will happen they can not came out of the car. We took the car to Mercedes Benz dealer and they want to charge to fix it. We took to independent mechanic the 1st time on 2019 and they charge us like $1,000. Now the right handle door is broke 8/10/2022. We need Mercedes Benz to fix it ASAP. This issue is happen a lot to Mercedes Benz.

The interior driver side door handle broke and I was trapped inside my vehicle. Upon checking with the local mercedes-benz repair shop, this is a known problem with this type of vehicle and the design of the door handle is prone to this kind of a problem.

I was driving my 2012 mercedes C250 through an intersection on 08/09/2021 when I first heard clunking noises in the rear of my vehicle. Every time I placed my foot on the brakes after that it continued to clunk until I took it to the mercedes dealership for repair on 08/17/2021. The car had about 57,000 miles on it and was only nine years old, but the dealership said that the entire rear subframe of the vehicle had rusted and was close to completely separating from other parts of the vehicle. This was the first time I heard of any rusting in my vehicle, despite having the 2 rear tires replaced and alignment by the same place on 10/02/2020 (less than one year before). When it is raining water come from the top of the car.

Drove up to destination placed the car in park and turned off ignition when I then reached for the door handle and was unable to open the door. Drivers door latch/ handle broke and unable to open door to get out of car. I took vehicle to dealership and they stated it was not a recall and not a safety concern and I would have to replace the door which they quoted me $1000. 00 (labor/door). This is a safety concern when you cannot open the door with window up. Dealer stated the part has 2 year warranty and there was no assurance that it could happen again nor if the other doors latch/handle will break as well.

Cam shaft adjusters went out and had to be repaired for normal use and drivers side door handle broke on the inside and needs to be replaced due to regular use.

Door handle breaks from the inside, cause it to become completely non-functional. Passengers cannot get out of the car from the inside.

I was driving on the freeway at around 9am cst headed to dfw airport when all of a sudden I just heard a loud bang. I immediately felt pressure in my ears and it now felt like there was a window open. Having pulled out to a safe spot on the side of the freeway to inspect the vehicle, I was shocked to see the sunroof glass is what had exploded.

On may 13, 2018, my driver's side door handle would not open. I had been driving and went to exit the vehicle and could not get out. I panicked that I could not exit. I had to start the car to roll down the window and to open drivers door from outside. I took it in for service repair and notified the plastic handle broke away inside the door panel. Told it would be 6-12 months or longer wait time to receive replacement door panel. Mercedes benz does not just sell a handle replacement and have to purchase the whole interior door trim.

The interior door latch broke, keeping the driver from opening the door and safely exiting the vehicle. This is a known defect in many Mercedes Benz vehicles where the inside of the door latch snaps off inside the door. To exit the vehicle, the driver must lower the window and open the door from the outside.

Inside drivers door handle broke at the attach point to cable. On inspection found that handle is manufactured in such a way that it does not have enough material in the body of the joint to maintain integrity for such a high use item. This presents a danger as the handle will fail and could fail in a dangerous situation, trapping the driver in the car.

The driver door handle is broken, and we had the part on order since 11/7/2017 year, we can not get out of the car, only when we roll down the window. If there is an accident there is no way of escaping.

Inop driver door interior handle. Defect affects the safety integrity of the product. Took it to dealer for warranty repair 6 months ago and they still are unable to fix it.

Stationary vehicle's door latch stopped working while trying to exit the car. The latch is loosely moving around with no connection to the door lock whatsoever.

I was driving on glades road, boca raton, FL. I heard a loud noise, saw smoke and lost my power steering. I managed to pull into town center mall, got out of the car and saw that the car was on fire. The boca raton police came, #5 fire department came. The fire was put out and the car was towed to mercedes of delray.

Inside drivers side door lever broke, can not get out of the car without lowering drivers elec. Window. Dealer or others can not fix or replace, no stock. All on backorder for months ahead.

The door handle breaks from the inside making it where you can't exit the vehicle without the vehicle's engine on and window rolled down to open handle from the outside of the vehicle. Mercedes considers the door handle to be a "trim piece" and not a functional piece of the vehicle. This is a very serious issue and should be a recall or at least covered in the extended warranty that customers purchase. In an emergency situation I would not be able to exit my vehicle if the engine was turned off.

On 1/29/17 we awoke to the smell of smoke coming from our garage. Upon opening the inside door to our garage, we discovered the entire garage was on fire. Subsequent investigations resulted in an unknown cause. However the fire was centered around the left rear of the vehicle and the left rear door was found open/ajar? the car had been parked in the garage for over 24 hours prior and as recently as 9pm the night before all was well when I visited the garage?.

Tl- the contact owns 2012 Mercedes Benz C250. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph a sudden loud booming sound occurred from the exploding sunroof. The vehicle was taken to the dealer Mercedes Benz of waco(1625 n valley mills dr. Waco, TX) who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. Jft.

The contact owned a 2013 Mercedes Benz C250. While driving approximately 10 mph, the contact's vehicle was involved in a crash with another vehicle and exploded. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The air bags failed to deploy. The fire department extinguished the fire. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage and VIN were unknown.
