Seat Belt problem #1

Tl the contact owns a 2013 mercedes-benz C250. The contact took the vehicle to Mercedes Benz of oklahoma city (14240 broadway ext, edmond, ok 73013) to be repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 19v010000 (air bags). Upon return of the vehicle, the contact stated that an error message displayed on the instrument panel indicating that the front passenger's air bag was disabled. The contact also stated that the passenger seat belt failed to buckle and operate as needed. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer where she left in the vehicle to be serviced. The contact was then informed that the mechanic was not able to duplicate the air bag warning sensor light failure and she was also given an estimate for the repair of the passenger seat belt. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

Seat Belt problem #2

The contact owns a 2013 mercedes-benz C250. While driving approximately 58 mph in the rain, the vehicle hydroplaned, flipped twice, and crashed in a ditch. The air bags did not deploy. The contact also stated that the seat belts did not secure both the driver and front passenger tight enough. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The driver struck her head on the steering wheel and the front passenger struck her head on the dashboard. Both occupants sustained minor injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. It was not determined whether the vehicle was totaled. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

Seat Belt problem #3

Involved in a rear end collision, which tripped all airbag & seat belt sensors. Including the rear seat belts, causing them to not lock in the event of a collision, rendering the rear seat to be unsafe for passengers. The car has been repaired except for the rear seat cushion. The body shop has had the seat cushion, but refused to install until the insurance company pays an addition $2000. 00. This accident happened on 10/14/2016. I got the car back on 12/30/2017 with the original rear seat cushion installed. This has been ongoing for 4 months now, and, nobody is willing to assist me. I hope I have not wasted your time with this, but, don't know what else to do.

Seat Belt problem #4

I was driving on I-10 eastbound at approximately mile marker 180 to 182, when I made a lane change to let a faster moving vehicle pass me. I went from the left to right lane with the cruise control set at 70 or 75 mph, (speed limit on I-10 is 75 mph). Upon entering the right lane I saw a tractor trailer brake lights, and I slammed on the brake in my c 250, and it caused the car wheels to locked up, which also caused the car to skid, and swerve the back end. The c 250 did slow down some, but came to a complete stop after the c 250 impacted the rear bumper of the trailer attached on the tractor trailer truck. The c 250 slide approximately 200 feet, there were tire tracks on the pavement, which shows the tires locked up. The rear ended of the car also swerved, and it didn't seem like the c 250 was slowing down, once the brakes were applied. There was also some skipping of the tires. The airbag deployed but was late, and caused me to impact the windshield with my head. There is also a hole in the airbag that is bigger then a silver dollar, which shows sign of tearing and fraying. The seat-belt detached at impact which forced me forward and didn't restrain me from me hitting the steering wheel and windshield.

Seat Belt problem #5

Whenever a passenger is seated in the rear seat (either side) and the car is braked or experiences a bump in the road, the seat belt locks and starts to tighten thereafter with a ratcheting sound each time the passenger moves even a little bit. This tightening continues until the passenger starts suffocating from the pressure. When this happens, the only option is for the passenger to unbuckle the seat belt and start over. But then the process repeats itself. My family members now either refuse to ride in the back seat or they do not buckle the seatbelt and hold it in their hand instead. Obviously this is a safety issue that could result in serious injury in case of an accident. I have taken the car to 2 different dealers on 4 occasions but each time they have told me that the seat belts are working as designed. I have asked owners of 2 other mercedes cars of similar make and model and they have assured me that this problem does not happen in their cars. I have escalated this issue to mercedes directly but they have redirected me to one of the dealers and now I can't even get them or the dealer to respond to my emails.

Seat Belt problem #6

I've been experiencing a hesitation when accelerating in my 2013 Mercedes Benz C250. The back seat belts stopped working. The passenger airbag light all of the sudden now states it is off.
