Suspension problem #1

Car violently shakes.

Suspension problem #2

Rear subframe rusted through. This is a safety issue. The driver side is rusted through but not other. This a design flaw and Mercedes Benz should have recall. Many other people have reported this problem. I have serviced my vehicle via the mb dealership since owning the car. The only owner. No one told about the rust issue for years. I was recently just told recently. This is dangerous and will cause an accident.

Suspension problem #3

Major rust in the welded joints of the steel subframe. Long crack development along the seams, could have led to catastrophic lost of control of vehicle if the breaks were not found. This is an apparent flaw with the c-class Mercedes Benz and quite surprising to the service reps at my dealership that this has not been a recall issue, as they’ve replaced many. The repair is quite costly, over $5,000. There were no symptoms, warnings or messages. This was found when the vehicle was in for a 10k service. I have a video sent by the technician that show the inspection of the vehicle.

Suspension problem #4

I was driving my 2012 mercedes C250 through an intersection on 08/09/2021 when I first heard clunking noises in the rear of my vehicle. Every time I placed my foot on the brakes after that it continued to clunk until I took it to the mercedes dealership for repair on 08/17/2021. The car had about 57,000 miles on it and was only nine years old, but the dealership said that the entire rear subframe of the vehicle had rusted and was close to completely separating from other parts of the vehicle. This was the first time I heard of any rusting in my vehicle, despite having the 2 rear tires replaced and alignment by the same place on 10/02/2020 (less than one year before). The service rep acknowledged that the car was well-maintained and that this was not due to any accident. . Read more...

Suspension problem #5

Rotted subframe rear.

Suspension problem #6

I was advised 2 plus years ago by delray beach, FL. Mercedes benz dealer that an airbag recall was in effect on my Mercedes Benz. I have visited the dealer, now owned by auto nation, multiple times only to be told parts were (still) not in stock. I subsequently corresponded with the ceo ag daimler, stuttgart, germany. His first response to me was it's not daimler ag's problem rather Mercedes Benz USA. In my second letter to ag daimler I reiterated my plea that my cars value continues to decline & I can not trade with an open recall on my vehicle. Daimlee's ceo responded, not his problem & he had sent a letter of my concern to mercedes USA. I receiver a call from mercedes USA saying it was not their problem either. I was told this person it is the "fault" of the NHTSA saying it regulates when a certain vehicle make, model & year can be repaired or replaced. If true, you, as typical of goverment agencies, are putting my family & millions of other persons at risk. As well you are responsible for my vehicles decline un value & my ability to sell or trade it for the value it would have were it not for the faulty airbag system not yet, (2+ years) being repaired. Shame, shame, shame on you. And now the new insult as per my mechanic that my car's suspension system is bad with only 60,000 miles. Lastly, the driver's seat rapidly deteriorated . Took it to mb dealer who told me it was 4 months out of warranty & they gave me an auto fabric repair's name. It cost me $260. 00 to repair the center panel, approximately, 6 x 16 inches. I am sick & tired if daimler ag, Mercedes Benz USA & now apparently you, the us government is responsible for the 2 + year hold-up in my car's airbags replacement putting my family at high risk of injury or death is disgusting.

Suspension problem #7

The air suspension is faulty and leaks. I have had the since 2013 and the suspension has been replaced on all for wheels within days of each other. Costing thousands of dollars in parts and labor.
